Tweeps to follow on Twitter

Hey Everyone – Since I LOVE finding lists of valuable real people to follow on Twitter….I decided to start one. I really appreciate @jodie_nodes and @wordspring for their pages of people. (find them here: Jodie’s Site and Catherine’s Blog)

Of course, I have my own list of worthy tweeters, some just getting started who have super cool businesses, others who simply rock the twitterverse and tweet valuable stuff every day, some who are our fabulous clients (many on the list are locals in Victoria, BC). Here we go:

@Nice_Eyes Lynne Parker is a beautiful, energetic and wonderful woman who is the mother of two boys and very active in the Victoria community as a fundraiser and business woman. Her passion is sharing what she knows about natural health to help others to experience greater energy, happiness about their weight, and to deal with other health issues with acai berry among other things. She is a very generous and positive person, and I highly recommend connecting with her on Twitter.

@FinancialDivas Kelly Landry is an amazing and dynamic mother of three who I jived with from the first time we met. This woman has an incredible vision, and gave up her successful career as a financial advisor to do something to give back. She has a company called Financial Divas which is aimed at educating, inspiring and supporting women in areas of finances, health and well-being, and life in general through an incredible eZine and seminars. She doesn’t yet have a website, but we are working on that! For now you can find out more, become a fan, and sign up for her publication on Facebook – prepare to be inspired!

@DivingVictoria Kirk Doherty is a diving instructor, high school teacher, and the co-owner of Beyond Deep Diving in Victoria, BC.  Many of you know that I am a diver, so I am really stoked that Kirk is bringing his passion for the great outdoors and his focus on high safety standards together in the diving community. We’re also going to help build a website for Kirk, and he is a member of our BNI group.

@Mike_Kalinka is a super nice guy I met through BNI and has become a good friend. He works for Investor’s Group as a financial advisor and tweets about relevant market news, but also interesting life events. Radically Transparent for sure, I appreciate that about Mike.

@VictoriaMortgages Troy Alexander is a friend and fellow BNI member. He likes to tweet about important market shifts and I follow his tweets to stay up to date with mortgage rates, and to hear about his adventures in life. Troy is a great guy who is active in the community. He’s very involved in Rotary and SPCA (among other charities) and has a family here in Victoria, BC.

@CityWideVic Dom has picked up social media like a rockstar. It is a pleasure to watch him interacting and embracing Twitter and blogging with gusto! Dom’s tweets are real and refreshing, and he’s always up to something new.

@lacouvee Janis is one of those must-follow people in Victoria. She is totally on the pulse of what’s happening in the local community and who’s who. Honestly, I don’t know how she keeps track of it all, she must have a flow chart beside her desk or something – she knows a LOTTA people! And, she’s a really positive and genuine person. I bump into her at all sorts of networking events, and have had coffee with her too.

@movetocanada is Ruth from RedSeal Immigration – they help people to move here to Canada. Ruth is a really sweet woman who is actually getting married  next week – congrats! yay!! – and someone who post interesting tidbits about Canada, the economy, getting work in this country, and lots of other intersting stuff.

…..more to come! Stay tuned.
